Yoga for Young People
Teen Yoga & School Wellbeing in St Neots
Supporting Young People Through Yoga & Wellbeing
Young people today are navigating a world that can feel fast, pressured, and overwhelming.
With over eight years of experience working in education, including in secondary schools and within a special educational needs setting, I bring a deep understanding of the challenges young people face and the importance of creating a safe, supportive environment where they feel seen and understood
From exam stress and social pressures to anxiety, low confidence, and big emotional shifts, many teenagers are carrying more than we often realise.
Through yoga, breathwork, and mindful practices, I offer a safe and supportive space where young people can begin to slow down, reconnect, and feel more at ease within themselves.
This work is not about performance or flexibility. It is about creating space to breathe, to feel, and to build tools that support wellbeing both in and beyond the classroom.
The World Young People Are Navigating
Adolescence is a time of change, growth, and self-discovery, and it can also feel uncertain and overwhelming.
Many young people experience:
Exam pressure and fear of failure
Anxiety and racing thoughts
Difficulty focusing or switching off
Low self-esteem or lack of confidence
Social pressures and comparison
Challenges with emotional regulation
Transition worries (primary to secondary, GCSEs, college)
With the right support, young people can begin to understand these experiences and feel more equipped to move through them.
How Yoga Supports Young People
Yoga offers simple, practical tools that young people can carry into everyday life.
Through guided movement, breathwork, and relaxation techniques, students can learn how to:
Manage stress and anxiety through the breath
Release physical tension held in the body
Improve focus, concentration, and clarity
Build confidence and self-awareness
Regulate emotions in a healthy and supportive way
Feel more grounded, calm, and in control
These are skills that extend far beyond the mat and into daily life, school, and relationships.
If you feel your young person would benefit from this kind of support, you are warmly welcome to get in touch to find out more about classes, workshops, or school sessions.
How I Can Support You
I offer yoga and wellbeing sessions for young people in a way that is calm, supportive, and accessible. With over eight years of experience working in education, including in secondary schools and within a special educational needs setting, I bring a deep understanding of the challenges young people face and the importance of creating a safe, supportive environment where they feel seen and understood.
I work within secondary schools to deliver tailored sessions that support students’ mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing, whether through PSHE-aligned classes, small group support, or workshops focused on themes such as exam stress, anxiety, and emotional regulation. Alongside this, I offer dedicated teen yoga classes in St Neots, creating a welcoming space where young people can step away from daily pressures and simply arrive as they are, without expectation. During the school holidays, I also run seasonal workshops designed to support key moments and challenges, including transitions, exam periods, and confidence building.
Across all of my work, the intention is the same: to provide gentle, practical tools and a safe, supportive space where young people can begin to feel calmer, more confident, and more connected within themselves.
